Andrew Walter Gibson Scott (born November 15, 1967) is a Canadian musician born in Ottawa, Ontario and currently living in Toronto. His first bands include No Damn Fears, Oreo Reversed and Blackpool from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Currently, he is a drummer with the Toronto-based band Sloan. He also plays guitar with the band, usually on songs he has written. Three of his songs, "500 Up", "People of the Sky", and "I've Gotta Try" have been released by Sloan as singles. He is married to Fiona Highet and is a father of two. Once the holder of several provincial track and field records, he abandoned his athletic aspirations to become a visual artist. After attending the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University (NSCAD U), he joined Chris Murphy, Jay Ferguson, and Patrick Pentland in Sloan. ==Equipment == Drums: Andrew Scott plays Ludwig Drums and Zildjian Cymbals. He is most known for using a Ludwig Vistalite kit in blue,but has many other kits by Ludwig. He has changed his set-up a number of times by using different cymbals and an extra 14" floor tom. He currently uses Remo drumheads.
